Evergateway 2.0 Quick Install Guide
1. Gateway package should include the following items:
a.) Ruggedized Gateway Unit
b.) Evernet Antenna
c.) LTE Antenna
d.) 110-220V Power Cord (depending on region/country)
Components
Ruggedized Gateway Unit:
Evernet Antenna:
LTE Antenna:
Power Cord:
2. Identify a location for the Evergateway where power is present and the Evergateway has a good line of sight to the Eversensors to be monitored.
3. Locate the correct antennas for the correct ports labeled LTE & Evernet on the gateway unit. All antennas included are required.
4. Connect the LTE antenna to its corresponding SMA port on the top of the Evergateway by hand.
5. Repeat for the tall, cylindrical Evernet antenna at the top of the unit; the picture below shows the Evergateway with the complete antenna attachments in the correct locations.
6. Apply power to the Evergateway.
7. Confirm connectivity by verifying the connection utilizing the LEDs on the face of the Evergateway.

8. Permanently mount the Evergateway oriented vertically.
Orientation
As shown in the above photo, the Status Light cluster is centered on the front of the gateway. In the guide below, the antennas should be facing up.
9. After completing mounting and powering up, gateway status can be checked in Evercloud's gateway page.
Pole Mount Instructions
The mounting bracket is not needed for this mounting option.
Step 1: Align the two V-grooves on the mounting plate of the Evergateway with the pole.
Step 2: Use two tie wraps or hose clamps and fit them thru the slots behind the mounting plate and around the pole and fasten them until the Evergateway is securely mounted to the pole so that it cannot slide up or down.
Step 3: Connect the AC power cable to the AC power input on the Evergateway
Step 4: Secure the AC power cable to the pole 10-12in (25-30cm) below the Evergateway with a cable tie and ensure there is enough slack in the cable to leave a slight bend between the tiedown point and the connection.
Wall Mount Instructions
Step 1: Fasten the mounting bracket to the wall using 3-4x 1/4” lag bolts with the mounting bracket oriented as shown.
Step 2: Slide the Evergateway onto the mounting bracket and tighten the top and bottom captive screws
Step 3: Connect the AC power cable to the AC power input on the Evergateway
Step 4: Secure the AC power cable to the wall 10-12in (25-30cm) below the Evergateway and ensure there is enough slack in the cable to leave a slight bend between the tiedown point and the connection.
Strut Channel Mounting Instructions
Step 1: Fasten the mounting bracket to the strut channel using 2-3x 1/4-20 screws and channel nuts and orient the mounting bracket as shown. Ensure that the Evergateway will clear the head of the bolts if using the center pattern.
Step 2: Slide the Evergateway onto the mounting bracket and tighten the top and bottom captive screws
Step 3: Connect the AC power cable to the AC power input on the Evergateway
Step 4: Secure the AC power cable to the strut 10-12in below the Evergateway and ensure there is enough slack in the cable to leave a slight bend between the tiedown point and the connection.
Installation & Troubleshooting Tips
Suggested PoE & PoE Debug Tools:
If the customer isn’t sure whether their equipment supports 802.3at or would like a suggestion for what PSE to use, Everactive recommends the Cudy POE200 30W Gigabit PoE+/PoE Injector. We used this PSE extensively during Evergateway testing. It is available from Amazon.com.
When installing or troubleshooting PoE+, Everactive recommends the PoE Texas POE-TESTER-GEN2 PoE Tester Tool and the PoE Texas POE-DETECTOR PoE Detector Tool. They are available at https://shop.poetexas.com/collections/tools-and-accessories/products/poe-tester-gen2 and https://shop.poetexas.com/collections/tools-and-accessories/products/poe-detector , respectively.
